Continuous Assessment:
Students are evaluated throughout the year based on their class participation, oral answers, homework, and project work.
This helps teachers identify areas where children may need extra guidance and support.
Periodic Examinations:
As per the WB Primary Education framework, students in Classes 1 to 4 have term exams at regular intervals.
Exams are designed to test concept understanding, basic numeracy and literacy, and comprehension skills, rather than rote memorization.
Practical & Activity-Based Assessment:
Children are encouraged to participate in drawing, craft, music, and storytelling activities, which are graded as part of their overall assessment.
These activities foster creativity, confidence, and team spirit.
Skill Development Focus:
Our assessments are aligned with the WB Board’s emphasis on reading, writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills.
Teachers also observe social behavior, punctuality, and cooperation, which contribute to the holistic development of the child.
Feedback to Parents:
Regular progress reports and parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) help parents stay informed about their child’s learning journey.
Constructive feedback encourages children to improve, explore, and enjoy learning.
Remedial Support:
Students who need additional help are given remedial classes or special guidance sessions to ensure no child is left behind.
At our school, assessment is not just about marks. It is a tool to nurture curiosity, strengthen skills, and build confident, responsible learners who are ready for the challenges of the future.
